Can I save the entry mid calculation and return to it later?
No. The calculation cannot be saved but normally only takes 10 minutes to complete assuming all information is available.
How do we use the calculator where there are more than two applicants?
If there are more than two applicants please select the two applicants with the highest levels of disposable income.
How do we use the calculator for existing Newcastle borrowers seeking a further advance?
Further advance applications are only considered on a direct basis and the intermediary or their client can contact our customer mortgage line on 0345 606 4488. One of our mortgage advisers will be happy to take the customer through the calculator and their application.
How are guarantor applications treated?
We currently do not accept new mortgage applications that require a guarantor.
Is the maximum borrowing amount guaranteed?
No. The maximum amount may change depending on any information subsequently received. It is also possible that we may consider a higher amount depending on the other features of the application. In such cases, a decision in principle should be obtained - find out more about How to Apply.
What happens if there is a difference between the maximum borrowing amount stated on initial assessment carried out by the intermediary, and any subsequent assessments carried out by the Newcastle?
If the difference has an impact on our ability to proceed with the application as submitted, we will contact the intermediary to confirm that there is a difference, explain how we have arrived at the calculation, and discuss whether we can take the application forward.
