Francesco Di Pietro - Head of Intermediary Mortgages
Francesco has built a highly successful career at Newcastle Building Society since joining in 2007. He quickly moved up the ranks, building a wealth of experience in a variety of mortgage and management roles, including Business Development Manager and most recently, National Account Manager. Francesco is focused on building relationships with clubs, networks and intermediaries to supporting their key role in the mortgage advice process. He aims to continue enhancing the Society's intermediary proposition, cementing their position in the market as a lender offering practical solutions for borrowers and intermediaries.
When he is not at work, Francesco enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son's football team and watching Newcastle United.

Michelle Ash - National Account Manager
Michelle started at the Society as our South West and Home Counties Business Development Manager before moving into her National Account Manager role in August 2021. Having previously worked at Metro Bank as Corporate Account Manager and as a Business Development Manager for Virgin Money, Michelle brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Outside of work, Michelle spends most of her time with her family & friends and going on holidays as much as possible.

Mark Wilkinson - National Sales Manager
Mark is our recently appointed National Sales Manager. He joined in August 2019 as a Business Development Manager, having previously worked in branch as well as the intermediary and specialist lending markets, with Newcastle Building Society, Pepper Money and Virgin Money.
With 15 years' experience in financial services, Mark's primary focus will be to lead Newcastle Intermediaries' team of six field-based BDMs as they grow and enhance its broker proposition throughout the UK.
During his spare time, Mark likes to stay active and spend time with his two young daughters.

Judi Hancock - South East
Judi joined Newcastle Intermediaries in 2016 from Lloyds Banking Group where she worked for 10 years, with the last four years spent with BM Solutions. Prior to this Judi gained her experience as a Business Development Manager at NatWest, spending 10 years in the position. She entered the housing and mortgage market as an estate agent, before becoming a broker, providing her with a wealth of experience in the industry and market as a whole.

Stephen Breen - North West & M62 Corridor
Stephen joined Newcastle Intermediaries in 2019 from Stafford Railway. He has nearly 30 years of Mortgage experience with 20 years at Bradford & Bingley and 8 years at Furness Building Society. He has been a Mortgage Adviser, Mortgage Sales Support Unit Manager, Mortgage Adviser Manager and Business Development Manager. As a Development Manager, Stephen has also been involved in Key Account and on boarding sides of the role.
In his spare time, Stephen plays Solo Trombone in The Eagley Brass Band and enjoys woodland walks with his family and Jack Russell, Woody.

Linzi Stafford - Telephone
Linzi joined the Society in 2006 and has worked across different areas of mortgages, including customer service and quality roles. With over 17 years' experience, she has excellent knowledge of our USPs, product and lending criteria to best support you and your clients.
Outside of work, Linzi loves spending time with family and friends, especially on a family day out with her husband, daughter and their dog.

Kam Gill - Midlands
Kam Gill joined Newcastle Intermediaries in 2019 to support our Partners in the Midlands. Kam joins Newcastle Intermediaries with 8 years' experience in the financial services industry, having previously worked for Metro Bank as a Business Development Manager and held various roles across RBS and Barclays.

Andy joined Newcastle Intermediaries in 2022 to support our Partners in the South West. Andy joins Newcastle Intermediaries with over 7 years' experience in the financial services industry, having most recently worked for the Bank of Ireland as a Telephone Business Development Manager. Prior to this, Andy supported customers through their direct channels.
Outside of work Andy enjoys sport; he is a big football fan and has recently taken up golf.

Sophie Goodwin - North East & Scotland
Sophie joined Newcastle Intermediaries in 2022 to look after brokers and their clients in the North East and Scotland. Sophie brings nearly a decade of experience in the financial industry having previously managed the Underwriting Team at Newcastle Building Society, which has given her valuable knowledge and expertise in this business area.
